Description
Tropicacyl eye drops are useful in widening the pupil of eye for examining or other related purposes. It also works to temporarily paralyze the eye for treatment purpose. The suspension contains 1% of tropicamide as a key component in it. Sunways Pvt. Ltd. is the manufacturer for the eye drops. It helps to relax the muscle of the eye that helps in dilating the pupil. The Mydriatic drug of the eye drop is a combination of two medicines known as Phenylephrine and Tropicamide.
The eye drops belong to a class of anticholinergics and decongestants. The dilation of the pupil helps in examining eyes properly. The eye drops can cause a behavioural disturbance in some people especially with a psychiatric problem. It is mandatory to remove contact lenses before using eye drops. Corrective measures, dose adjustment may be necessary with a clinical condition.
Dosage
• Tropicacyl eye drop is useful prior to eye procedures.
• Use only a particular amount of eye drops prescribed by a doctor.
• Avoid using eye drops in an inadequate amount without doctor’s approval.
• Always wipe off the extra liquid. Do not shake or freeze the bottle.
